Welcome to Yeo Valley Primary School
"Yeo Valley is a caring school and has a committed and hard working staff. Our curriculum approach is broad, innovative and inspiring; as such we have revamped and heavily invested into our outdoor space. The very large area behind the school hosts an oasis of activities for the children. The grounds have organic gardens, a large pond, forest schools area, trim trail, ball sports area, picnic area and space!!
The school has an excellent reputation and takes the lead for music and sustainability across the Barnstaple Learning Community. It is the hub of the Local community bringing everyone together and ensuring everyone's needs and hopes are met. It would be a pleasure to show you around our school. Visitors are always welcome."

About Yeo Valley Primary
"Yeo Valley Primary School is situated in the middle of Barnstaple, North Devon. It has 240 children on roll with children starting in our Nursery at 3 years of age and then transferring to the local secondary schools at 11.
The Victorian building has large, bright classrooms that have all been refurbished over the last 3years. In between each class there are banks of computers linked to the main server and the 24 unit computer suite all supported by our ICT technician.
In addition to this we have many study rooms used by TAs to support Every Child Counts, Reading Recovery, Sir Kits, Speed up Writing and other interventions. The school also hosts one of the best primary libraries in the South West, fully supported by a full time librarian and resources manager."
Ofsted report
"The schools care, guidance and support are good and the curriculum on offer is relevant and exciting. This contributes significantly to the good progress made by individual pupils to overcome potential barriers to their learning. Pupils behave well and feel safe in school. The small number who have complex social and emotional needs receive close support to help manage and improve their behaviour and pupils recognise this. As one parent of a child with particular needs commented, Yeo Valley gave my child every fair chance and opportunity to flourish."
